NAS PRIVACY NOTICE
Privacy Notice
The
National Allotment Society (NAS) collect information in the course of members
joining the Society. The accuracy of the data is dependent on the
information supplied by the member when joining or renewing membership. This
includes the following:
- Name
- Postal address
- Contact details, landline number, mobile number and email address
- Association site details
The
Society does not disclose private data to third parties, unless specifically
appointed by the Society under a contract to fulfil the requirements of the
membership package or a specific initiative the individual has signed up to.
This will
enable the Society to supply the benefits of membership, or to contact you
directly, with membership information, using the contact details provided to us
on joining or renewing your Society membership. We may at times contact
you directly concerning developments within the Society and will also offer you
the opportunity to opt into initiatives if you so wish. This may be done
by Head Office, or the Regional Representative, in your own region.
This
information is only shared with third parties under a contract to provide the
benefits under NAS membership, this is undertaken with password protected
files, we do not sell any information to third parties. The Society will
keep your data until it is updated, or until you are no longer in membership.
Your
information is kept physically and electronically on our secure data base, with
hard copies kept in a locked and alarmed office. This information will be
kept in this format as long as you are a member of the Society. We
undertake a secure destruction process with shredding on site for hard copies
of membership information.
If at any
point you believe the information we process on you is incorrect, you can
request to see this information and even have it corrected or deleted. If
you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you
can contact Head Office 01536 266576 and we will investigate the matter.
Our
website may contain links from other websites, this Privacy policy only applies
to the NAS website so when you use other websites, please take the time to
check their privacy policy.
